The right-hand sidebar issue has me thinking (a dangerous thing, I know): Are there are plugins for putting mini posts in sidebars? I know I can stick anything in there, but it might be handy to have something that diverts a post to a sidebar widget.

A G search didn't show up anything too promising, though I'd be surprised there isn't *something*. One way might be to do a new post loop in the sidebar, and rely on a custom field to insert posts (or pages) that match the field.

Thinking 200 word max mini-posts, almost like excerpts. Stuff that doesn't rate a full post.
