Its free we all know that, google handles the securing of your blogs, and it's obviously on Google's servers. Would you guys recommend using Blogger as a domain host as well for adult oriented blogs? They make it easy for you to add a domain to your blog with a couple of clicks. You can now even mark your blogs as containing Adult Content, so that you stay within the boundaries of the Terms of Service. So I guess what im asking is do you think Blogger is a good idea for adult content? I would hate to put in all this work, on all my blogspot urls just to find out other Adult Webmasters have had a bad experience. Any input is appreciated. Cheers!

Its not something I have actually done so I am only making a comment.

Free hosting suggests to people in the business that your not really serious about the business because you don't want to spend a few bucks on hosting. You may find that others don't want to trade links with you because your on a free host. Sounds like that in your case that may not be a problem because you have other avenues and sites to trade with.

With regard to the TOS and the fact that you have to mark the blog as "adult" to stay within the terms of service, im a bit of a cynic and it just smells like if they get you to clearly identify your blog as adult then it just makes it easier to nuke when they change the terms of service at a later date.

Let us know how it goes.

I'd use Blogger for softer content.

You don't HAVE to mark the blog as adult, but if you don't, it could get flagged by someone and then any SE juice you've gotten from your main page is lost. It's better to do it on the outset.

They're owned by Google and they tend to be better respected as a free blog than others. Unlike WordPress.com, which doesn't allow adult beyond soft-R, you can embed Flash videos on a Blogger blog. Can't do that with WP.com unless you pay them extra.

In all, use them as soft feeder content if your niche applies. They're also good for article posts that may not contain graphic sex images. You can link from them to your harder blogs/sites.

I've never used Blogger as I don't use free space.

I can see VG views on getting inbounds from other urls but if I'm going to put the effort into developing a site then I want it on my own paid space so I can build the link pop and hopefully get some traffic
