Okay, time to put up or shut up

Who is up for a bit of a blogging experiment?

A few sites get together, and agree to do a post on their own blog, about another blog, to add some real good links. Not a blogroll crapola, but a link or two from within an actual post.

Now, I am doing that with a few on the gay side, and I have to admit, the increase in interest from the surfer, seems to be growing.

So anyone into that here? I mean come on, you gotta have a few minutes to spare once a week, to post about another member's blog, in return get one back. Though not the same week, I mean even G would tumble to that.

ah right, I remember, but that was way too convoluted. Log in and all that crapola, this is just plain simple, write a post on your own blog, about someone else's. easy peezy as the Brits say

you guys are getting it wrong - this was just the content sharing for links idea - you write the content and submit it to a webmaster for him to add that into his site -

webmaster that submits the article gets the free link site owner that takes the content gets free content - no login in or signing up, but it doesn't matter as no one took it up here, in fact I've just un sticked it due to no interest

I would be more than happy to run with you on this Ian as its a great way to build links, but I just don't have any gay sites that I'm working on anymore - if however you want some free links I do have a gay site thats pulls 456 uniques ( yesterdays figure) that your more than welcome to submit articles or content on as I've not touched it in 2 years

I've not gone down the adult blogging route yet, but when I do I'll give you guys a shout............but sorry Ian they won't be gay sites, its not something I can relate too

Exactly, it is different, but it makes more sense to simply write a post, on your own site, about another, which gives a link & content for both.

say I write a post on my gay talk blog, about how dating sites are popping up all over. Using that post, I link to one of your dating sites, as an example. That creates a good link to your site, as it is within my content.

Then you later, write a post detailing how even the politically incorrect sites, are talking about dating sites.

Rather than writing something, sending it to someone else, then wait for them to add it, you simply write your own post, publish it, and they do the same, and well bob's ur uncle, (in ur case change uncle to aunty )

Hony had another variation on it. I think she was willing to have guest authors on her blogs if you were able to write on related content and she had a chance to preview the quality. No need to submit anything, just sign up with her as a guest author.

I actually have done this on my mainstream sites. I also gave others their own author login so they can write a post on my site and put their link in it. The only return I got was free content and a fresh writing style on my site.

It does not hurt a thing. But yes, I know what you mean and I have done that on my mainstream sites. Trouble is it's always hard to remember to do that.

Then you have to check and see if the other guy ever made an article for you and so on. It's just hard when your busy with so much stuff. But what your doing is the same thing mainstream people do for backlinks.

They make accounts with article writing sites, make a related article and put a link in it to their site. They even make money on that site, so you win both ways.
