which is why you only grab themes from the WP Repository, and secondly use Exploit Scanner to scan them, Theme Check after that, and if really paranoid, use WP Anit Virus plugin.

But never ever get a theme from searching on Google, or off WP sites. Most REAL theme authors, when you go to their own site, will have the download linked to the page at the WP Repository, if it DOESN'T you may want to re-think downloading it.

Many 'fake' authors will not have the link to the Repository, a possible indication of a faked theme, or altered one.
