Funny, how things have changed. Building a website today is simply point and click, or so everyone seems to be thinking. Truth is, even blogs aren't exactly simple.
You still need to know some basics, like html and css, to tweak and refine your themes, or to simply do a good post. Knowing html for example, to add to your excerpts, so that they are clickable, or stand out.
Knowing some css, to find out just why the damn background color is brown when you want it red, or the links should be black instead of white on white.
Yep, just point and click and watch the cash roll in

Personally, I'd go with both. Using a static web site, for the galleries that just never really show up well in blogs, mainly due to the size constraint of the posting area. Blogs are a tool, to accentuate the main site, in my view. But hell what do I know, I still think
