A little bit of everything, from the saucy, to the serious. Nothing but the unvarnished truth, until I can come up with a better story. Until then I'll stick to the one I got, which is, Tigger did it.

I do a lot of blogging. I love to write, so it comes a bit more naturally to me. I mean check it out, here this feature was just added, and this is my fifth post. Tigger still hasn't answered my comment on his, but then bet he's lost how to get to his blog.

Thing is, that I set up a blogger account, to do some general blogging, that I didn't think I wanted to mix in with any of the other blogs.

Thing is, I also do a political blog on my adult domain, that gets a fair bit of traffic, and does manage a few sales. Don't ask me how, because I sure as hell don't know. The point is, I wanted to add links to the personal blog, to the political one, but the worry is, of some twat being offended by clicking on the links in the political blog.

Following me so far?

The obvious solution, was to set up a warning page, that clearly informed those coming from the personal blog, that they were entering an adult site. I suppose if I was a coding genius like S4E I would simple do a pop up or something, but I got enough troubles trying to pop it up every time the wife is in the mood.

So it came down to building a web page.

In the past I have used dreamweaver, use CSS and SSI fairly well, but that is in the PAST. Over the last little while, it has been blogging, and been making most of my enterprises, blogs.

I mean it is simple, you click here, click there, tweak a bit, and presto you have a full blown site up and operating, and no pages to struggle with lining the columns up, or adjusting the image sizes. It is all basically, done for you, by the blog software, theme, and oh yeah, the plugins.

Now, using a blog is good, if you are just entering the industry, as it does get you going faster, but I wonder, just how good is that? I mean, it doesn't really teach you anything about how things work, such as design elements, how to match site colors or text sizes.

In doing my new " warning page ", it was a struggle, not because I didn't know how, but because my last use of those skills, was so long ago.

Perhaps, we shouldn't be so quick to recommend a newbie get started with a blog. Perhaps, we need to stick to the old way of learning, by experimenting, by actually using the skills like coding, like design, before we jump in.

How else are we going to learn the skills, if we don't keep on using them?
