Why is it that the only time I ever seem to see or hear from my step kids is when they want something?
That’s it, that’s all I wanted to say today.
It just really pisses me off that I only seem to be here to serve them.

I don't have any step kids, but I get that at times from my 16 year old.
I know when I was a kid, I didn't treat my step dad all too great... I think it's more of a kid thing and how they deal with handling things. I never thought much about how I handled having "step dads" when I was a kid, but it's something that has been in my head the last couple years. One of them died not too long ago. He was an odd duck most of the time, but his heart was in the right place.
