I liked the series but never read the books. I have no idea what this one will be about. Sort of before the ring was lost or something?

same here never read the books, which personally I think is a bonus as you don't know what to expect - but yes this is a prequel to the LOTR and its about Bilbo - I think its going to be over 2 films and with any luck 3 hours each like the other films ........GREAT

Time to start building those Hobit affiliate sites in preparation for all the merchandise Bill

Well I have read the books, and to be honest, the film was very close to the books. It made what I had read come alive, and was even more spectacular to enjoy.

I just bought the extended video trilogy from Amazon and will enjoy it at home.

There are few movies that come close, let alone equal the richness of the book, but this was one of them.

Am looking forward to the Hobbit, which was about Bilbo and his finding of the ring. Lots of cool action too and if the film is half as close as the book, I will be happy.

most of the people agree with you regarding the book to film and I'm sure the next one or ones will be just as good ......can't wait

the only problem I find with the LOTR is it makes all other underworld type films seem crap and your constantly comparing

Last Christmas I did all the DVDs over boxing day - this christmas its a Harry day as I've got all the DVDs but only ever watched one .......just don't tell Bill

well i got the full 8 film dvds as well, amazon had them on sale too. I do like a bargain, why I married the wife I found that Harry Potter in the beginning was great, but it got way too dark for me, too I don't know, not as magical as the first ones. Bit of a chore actually watching the last three or so films.

well I've been told I WILL RELAX for 2 days wives

I've heard the last couple of films were a bit dark but I don't mind that as I've just finished watching True Blood and love that and looking forward to Dexter next

As you live in Spain, I thought this thread was about you reserving some new model of Seat car before it's in the market

Huge fan of the book and the movie, looking forward to it. Read it long before the movie was in sight - haven't spoiled the amazing feeling one bit.

I think such a movie is really worth watching in theatre for best experience.
