Random Thoughts...

I hate scrolling left to right when I'm using the most common resolution.

All photographs have bad lighting and are grainy. (This could also be a selling point)

Photos don't like they were resized correctly.

You have lots of valuable text but you choose to have your content ALL images which destroys SEO.

It's not an Urban Amateur site... it's a Urban Amateur BBW site...

In my eyes... It appears as if the site would be very small and poor solely based on the quality of content (photos and web design). What are you currently converting at?

As for the resolutions... viewers with a common resolution of 1024 x 768 should not have to scroll left to right. This can be fixed by adjusting the width of your page to an industry standard size. I based my widths off from Yahoos Standards... 750px, 950px, or 974px for fixed widths. Or 100%.

Oh when you need to write something on a web page.. write it on the web page.. Don't make an image out of it. This doesn't add value to your page when Search Engines go to index it. And trust me a SEO friendly website is free money in your pocket.

ok, now you are speaking over my head lol, i combined the pics and words because i was easier to move around as one thing, also, how do i adjust my page resolution? i used a website builder from servage.com , and what do you mean buy converting? i unlike you and many others up here, dont know certain terms your using like seo, i know it has something to do with the search engine, but thats about it, and since my website is based around videos, all i do is post vid clips on tube sites, in order to promote my website. what do you suggest? but i really want to fix that resolution problem asap

to fix the resolution, you need to know a little HTML and CSS. Problem is that using a page builder is going to make it a pain to work with unless it also let's you set the page width. If you view the source code of your pages, it's pretty ugly in there... There is no truly simple solution due to that versus if the pages were done with basic HTML and CSS, it could be as easy as changing one number.

SEO = Search Engine Optimization - text on your page will get you further with being indexed by the search engines. You have basically zero text on your page, so nothing of interest to the SE bots.

Converting - hits versus joins. How many hits do you get before you get one join.

This is going to sound harsh, if so I'm sorry

what I suggest is you go buy "HTML for Dummies" and I'm not being sarcastic its just if you want to stand a hope in hell of making anything within this industry you need to learn the basics and right now you are running way before you can even get out of the pram

The adult industry is probably the most competitive online sector and you'll need to use EVERY trick in the book to get sales which will include good clear layout, understanding basic SEO, and how to make a site convert and right now all these things are going straight over your head so you really are wasting time and need to step back and start learning if you want a hope in hell of making anything

as you know I speak my mind

the thing is I hate to see guys throwing time and effort at something that just doesn't stand a chance, rather than waste weeks / months getting no where invest that time in learning the basic skills required to stand a chance in succeeding

With the current state of the adult industry and the economy making money in this game is hard work so you need to make sure you have everything going in your favor

whilst theres nothing wrong with the concept idea of the site theres a million one others hitting the same genre thats better optimised & build to convert

I think there are a lot of people who dive into a site before understanding where they are actually headed. Having a 'starter' site is something everybody has to do, but you still need to be ready for it.

Hang out on the boards, read LOTS, ask questions and work on the starter site. Things will become clear as it's being worked on and more questions will come up. Then read MORE and ask questions again.

It's a normal cycle to get started and there's not much avoiding it for anybody.

agree, but start by reading the book, then you'll at least have your starting platform when webmasters direct you in a direction, you need to have some "basic" understanding

that made it fit to a point so there is no horiz scroll in 1024, but it's still too big. As NetStar indicated, for 1024, you want a max width of 950 or 974px to account for the browser window itself and vertical scroll bar.

The reason I said "to a point" is that by only adjusting that, it's created other layout problems with the rest of the page. Everything else has gotten squished now, where there was room before.

Seriously, as Tigs said, you need to focus on basic HTML and CSS skills, THEN get at least a basic understanding of SEO, THEN work the page over again.
