Hi & welcome

As you're asking for a review hopefully you won't mind constructive criticism, as people do get upset when they don't read what they want to see like "great site love it, you'll make loads"

First thing that jumped out was its not very sexy! It is very text heavy and on the opening page you really want to get something posted up that will make you want to join and whilst you have some "member images" do people really believe they are real members? - I don't.

So the first thing I would consider is getting rid of some of the text and getting more sexy type images, also whilst addressing your index, your title "Free Adult Dating Casual Naughty Dates and Flirts - Sex Date Personals" - I would lose the word free, dates, flirts as those could be used on other pages that are more optimised around those keywords. Plus it is never going to rank for anything FREE related as there are a lot of sites that are just hitting that alone.

The site is very thin and needs more pages for different types of dating, so you could do with adding at least another 10 pages and that should give you a better chance of getting traffic and hopefully sales.

Your articles blog!!! Why a blog? It doesn't flow with the rest of site and you could easily make people think they have moved onto another site. So I would remove the blog and set up your own static articles section then on a different url build a blog, that could also be used for linking as well meaning you'll be getting one way exchanges rather than recps.

Good luck with the site - you are hitting a very competitive market and will need to work at it, I know as I have been doing the swingers market for 10 years now and it is hard going, but if you work hard you can make good money! -

Thanks for the opinion . I will think about what you said. Regarding the blog, it was the most used way for article writing.

I can't believe Tiggs said something has too much text!

I can't think of anything to add to what Tiggs has said. For sure using the blog for articles creates a disconnect from the main site. It's too much of a different look and no easy way to get back to the 'real' site. There are a lot of ways to do articles and still feel connected to the site. Maybe if you did more to theme the blog like the site and provided more linking to get back to the index.

Using the blog for articles is one thing, but as Tiggs said, setting up a blog on a different URL and using that for linking into this dating site is a solid path forward when you get to that point.

I think it's the text-to-art ratio. With more (good) art, the amount of text is probably not a negative.

Always a good idea to have a kissing photo for a dating site, but that photo is anything but hot. The kiss isn't at all passionate, and since they're on the beach - presumably other people around - they likely have few clothes, but nothing social mores wouldn't expect.

Like Tigs said, more art, and then he could prolly keep the text.

sorry you've lost me, you can add articles onto static sites and this was being done way before blogs were even thought about

I wanted a blog attached to a static site so rather than building the site I found the blog theme I liked then built my static site around that so they flowed well

and considering its a sex personals site not really the main theme you want to be projecting

This is a good point, and often overlooked. It's pretty easy to take a WordPress theme layout and turn it into a template for a static site. Just copy the source of a generated page, and then go through it and remove all the WordPress crap in the header.

You'll also need to remove any dynamic content as well (references to tags, archives, comments) and so on. Takes maybe an hour, then you've got a static HTML template that exactly matches your blog.

Well that's another problem with the site. It pushes "100% Sex & Fun" but the text is written for a general audience. Slightly more scandalous than what you'd find in those "Find Christian Singles" sites, but not much more. I think the tone of the text is fine for an external article bringing punters into the site, but not for the site itself.

I think AFF nailed the general technique years ago when they came out with their "Find a Fuck Buddy Tonight!" banner campaign. When you're pushing the casual sex angle, you're not dating, you're fucking.

agree, its a good way of keep the flow between blog & static site as personally I think it looks pretty naff when the designs don't flow

overall with the text used and the confusing signals given out by the images the site really doesn't have any direction and in an extremely competitive market that just won't cut it

totally true, but a lot of people do miss that fine point when trying to integrate various technologies in a site

For the moment I will stick with it in this format, and see the user feedback. After that I will consider what you said. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm interested to know about "user feedback" - what are you expecting?
