Ok, I'm hoping this isn't premature, but...

just allowed my ThunderBird to update to v3.1. Running XP on my laptop that is still doing fine. All I can say is this thing is a friggn' resource PIG and if I can figure out how to downgrade it, that's my current plan. Unless I can find anything that tells how to quickly turn some crap off to make it run better. Fucking thing is taking up to 70% of the CPU, while apparently doing NOTHING...

Not to mention the RAM it's using is all over the map, from 99 MB, up to a high of 400 MB - still while seeming to not be doing anything!

Been more than a little frustrated with FF memory use lately and some of their new methods of controlling the browser not being as stable as it was... I hope this is not a trend in the Mozilla world overall... if it is... I may be looking for new software...

I'm pretty sure even he won't be able to help this situation... Yup - that's got to be the solution, back to an all MS platform

As long as you are babbling about TB. TB stores files by account not folder. I have folders, 2009. 2008 etc. How do you archive the old folders?
