its a bit like webmasters that set up different sites for linking benefits but then use the same affiliate codes on both sites !! if a webmaster can track this how many nano seconds do you think G would take to track your links

Like I said in another thread a few weeks back, I've always tried not to be blatantly obvious about multiple sites, but, then again, I've equally assumed that G will probably figure it out eventually no matter how careful you try to be. And if you use Analytics, or AdSense, say, on multiple sites you might as well just admit to G that you own them all anyway.

There's a bit of a difference between G knowing and someone else using G's toys to track site ownership though. I would have hoped they'd be alert to the potential privacy implications, even though it's ultimately the webmaster's responsibility to take care of their own security etc. I don't use Analytics, and even if I did I wouldn't be concerned about this, but I can see how it might be a really big issue for some people, especially if they're not all that technically aware. There are plenty of nutters out there (to say nothing of employers, ex-wives, in-laws and general zealots of all descriptions) who don't need extra help in making trouble.

I've got separate accounts for porn and non-porn stuff so I don't piss off my sponsors. But in the end if you are self employed and don't care what anyone thinks then why go through all the hassle of maintaining privacy. As long as your sites have legal content and you don't care what your family thinks, why bother caring.

How many then ask what swingers are? And what do you say if they do?

I don't care what anyone thinks about me, or what I do, but I can see how some people might. Some communities just don't like porn (except when they're looking at it!), even though it might be a perfectly legal occupation, and there will always be some nutjob willing to take that dislike one step further than a dirty look in the street.

Of course, there's no such thing as absolute privacy online or anywhere these days, but there needs to be at least some expectation that things won't be made too easy for prospective stalkers / haters etc.

I live in Spain - theres some swingers clubs just down the road, next to brothels & a poll dancing club that unlike the UK ones have private rooms ;o) .....most here know what swinging is, in fact on the main road out of town the prostitutes stand on the roadside

I was reading a report and 1/4 married spainsh males use prostitutes at least twice a month ...... ex pats its 100% . Spain is far more liberal about sex than many other European counties

If I didn't have commitments here I'd be long gone too. Not sure where to, but Blighty's looking less attractive by the day. How does the Euro issue look from inside the Eurozone, though? From over here it's looking pretty precarious!

the 16th is the date everyone is worried about as thats when Greece has make payment and its looking like they will default....IF that happens the Euro will go into free fall - I had a meeting with my accountant and he thinks Spain may pull out in Jan and if so the euro will fall apart - also I read that Germany is printing Deutsche Marks !! which means they are getting ready "just" in case.....I think the shit is going to hit the wall big time soon and the problem being the little people like us will be hit hard - the next few years are going to be crap I'm just glad for Swiss banks and cash point machines ;o)

but given the choice I would much sooner be here
