Like I said in another thread a few weeks back, I've always tried not to be blatantly obvious about multiple sites, but, then again, I've equally assumed that G will probably figure it out eventually no matter how careful you try to be. And if you use Analytics, or AdSense, say, on multiple sites you might as well just admit to G that you own them all anyway.
There's a bit of a difference between G knowing and someone else using G's toys to track site ownership though. I would have hoped they'd be alert to the potential privacy implications, even though it's ultimately the webmaster's responsibility to take care of their own security etc. I don't use Analytics, and even if I did I wouldn't be concerned about this, but I can see how it might be a really big issue for some people, especially if they're not all that technically aware. There are plenty of nutters out there (to say nothing of employers, ex-wives, in-laws and general zealots of all descriptions) who don't need extra help in making trouble.
