The site was / is loading quite slowly the last two days, I figured you forgot to feed the hamsters again, or perhaps you're trying to inspire their efforts by continually promising them a bigger wheel. I know it's not the other option, 'cause we've told you not to set you glass on the server...

Time to do some back end clean-up, dust off the cob-webs and all that good stuff

Maybe the hamster took the day off? Was never off for me, just darn slow in loading and moving around. Heck it took nearly a full glass of red to load up a thread, but in measurements, that would be like a split second but for the rest of us, several minutes (at least)

I find the forum runs very slow - although I missed the downtime as I've been working long hours so not really been able to spent time on my adult sites over the few weeks

it is Pete and TBH if it was used more I would arrange better hosting but theres not a level of interest here to make it worthwhile

Fact is Tiggs has had to run the generator himself these last few months, the downtime is a result of his frequent breaks for a snippet of red.

I agree, but I'm not pumping money into better hosting when its not really getting used and from looking at other forums an industry thats loosing interest ....

What went wrong?

the slow load time doesn't necessarily point to the server, have you checked the database or done any maintenance on the board. Could be a number of reasons, but no need to be slow pokie...

Ya know it was never super fast, but never quite this slow either. You might want to clean up the db and get rid of some unwanted clutter. But honestly, something is bogging it down a lot more than ever before. And you know how us few loyal followers get when we are denied the pearls of wisdom that come forth in this small but tasteful abode
