So far figures are going well and on track for an increase on last Decembers figures which consider how fucked up the world ecom is quite surprising, just goes to show punters will still pay for sex.

Anyone else having a good month? - It will be interesting to see how 24/25/26 work out as in the past those days have been very strong

Been disappointing so far this yuletide season, actually yesterday snared a couple of big sales, but certainly not what it really should be. Had my site as a feature for 3 weeks at a major tg forum, but only resulted in a lot of traffic with no sales, people there are used to the free stuff.

it does seem to be the case - I was reading a posting within the forum section on the contacts site and this guy was trying to arrange to meet this horny girl thats very active. When it comes to porn, who can blame them. The reality is no one HAS to pay for porn in order to enjoy it and get off. The second reality is you don't have to be an internet genius in order to FIND free porn. I can't tell you how many posts I see on commercial forums where they post a watermarked picture and ask, "where can I find more pics of this girl" They won't even follow the link from the watermark to go look for more pics, they simply wait for someone else to post more free pics.

I've got no intension of changing although I am working on a niche clothing site right now so that should be interesting - but theres no way I'm touching porn sites - like you say theres just too much free stuff going around for guys to pay

Well I'm actually doing good. I found a new sponsor and they are converting well. Even overall sales have picked up. I started several new niche sites and they are going as planned. Plus I will make a few more soon.

Basically if you stick to niche sites you can do well with them, that simple. On a side note, I did some book work the other day. I discovered I have at least 27 different places that send me a check, direct deposit it or deposit it in my PayPal account.

Plus some of those are from a pool of dozens of other sponsors. Both adult and mainstream. Guess I'm doing well with diversifying.

You've identified your target customer base, the cross dresser scene is vastly different than the transsexual market. There's plenty of $ to be made on trannies, but it's become far too mainstream in recent times, the cross dresser culture is far different and thus, economically so as well.

Well I finally took Tiggs advice and switched from hosting my sites myself to using Hostgator and I've trippled my traffic. Sales are up to but just a bit. I'm getting new registrations but that's free. Hopefully this switch will lead to better performance in the future.

hasn't all porn become mainstream now with the internet offering access to anything? I think the only true difference between between a popular genre and a niche is the ease of getting traffic

I don't care for hostgator myself. I hope you did not get one of those "unlimited" bandwidth packages. If you get lots of traffic they start throttling your bandwidth.

I got the baby package for $5 a month. How much would be considered a lot of traffic? So far they seem ok I haven't noticed anything unusual so far. If they start screwing with me I'll either switch or host myself again and If I do that I'd have to kick up my internet speed and that will cost me a bundle.

is that really a problem Bill ? after all if a site starts pulling more traffic you upgrade I start all my sites on basic / cheap packages then once (hopefully) the traffic increases I upgrade

So far they seem ok I haven't noticed anything unusual so far. If they start screwing with me I'll either switch

or upgrade, but having a traffic problem is a nice one to have

Good point. Upgrading would probably be easier and cheaper then switching or going back to hosting myself. I'll see how it goes. My traffic has been growing since I switched to Hostgator on Nov 29 so lets see how much it keeps growing.
