I looked at G+1 hated it and gave the finger to G, but after reading this changing to the serps it looks like if we don't G+ the serps could be giving us all the finger ........

Has anyone set up a account? I know it revolves about this "circle" of friends and there was some loading problems slowing sites down that display the G+ link but other than that I know frig all - and its clear if we want traffic from G that we have to jump onto this

Why in FUCKS name don't they just give people what they want clear results with clutter and crap all over it

I got G+ for Seymour Totti but I don't know what to do with it so it remains blank.

first thing you need to do is get the G+ button onto your site so hopefully punters that understand what it is and logged in will click it.......FFS this really is bollocks and frigging annoying that G is going to be giving so much weight onto SN, or should I say THERE SN

But isn't that rather like telling all your family, friends, colleagues, CIA etc what you've been wanking off to recently. I really can't imagine anyone ever clicking it.

Though I suppose just having it there will at least tell G that you mean well. Anyone know if there is a Wordpress plugin for it?

No not at all. That's the whole point of the circles. You create a new circle, labeled "Porn" and you add people to that circle and share your stuff only to them. If you want to include family and friends, you create circles for them. When you click a plus button on a porn site, you decide which circles to include that plus to, or who will see what you plussed, if thats a word.

It seems complicated at first, but once you get the hang of the circles thing, it makes more sense. Im still playing with it right now. I just hope they don't ban me for posting titty pics. Thats why i love Tumblr. Tumblr doesn't care about posting porn stuff.

There is a plugin for Wordpress, just search "google plus" in your plugins search box and you will find a few.

Most of what I've seen of tumblr has been random collections of MILFS with everyone reposting everyone elses pictures. I guess I'll have to have a look at that as well.

I didn't realise the G+ could be compartmentalised like that. Makes more sense than facebook

That's the good thing about Tumblr. What I do is post pics from my sites with my site logo and a link. The more people that repost it the better for your site. Tumblr is great for branding your website and creating brand awareness.

Trust me, NOBODY is going to click the G button on an adult site, nobody. I have that damn button on my mainstream sites and they hardly ever get clicked. All the other mainstream webmasters I talk to say the same, nobody clicks that button.

However I do think now you should have a G+ account to spread news about any mainstream sites you have. But for adult, don't bother.

you say that Bill but my contacts sponsors site has a G+ account and there main homepage has 330 likes

but I also do agree with you and I wonder what impact displaying G+ accounts will have within the adult serps with quite possibly fewer account holders clicking to like .......but saying that 330 have with my sponsor

Have enough people taken up Google + to make the whole proposition important? So far as I know, the whole Google + thing is a complete non-event

Forget about the plus 1 button. What you want to do is build your circles and promote your sites on Google + and get those people to your sites.. That's where the value in all this is. Not whether or not someone pluses your blog posts. Think of this as Facebook but with more SEO clout.

I presume the posting guidelines are similar to FB regarding images - so basically no full nudity ?
