How odd. My traffic is down by half today for my busiest site. I wonder if it has anything to do with the FBI taking down of Megaupload and Anonymous's retaliation of taking down government sites and everyone else that pisses them off.

Anyone else seeing bad traffic today?

I don't know if this has had anything to do with it but BT Internet static IPs have been down this morning but they are back online now....that could account for some lost traffic...

I wish - my drop happened the same time as a load of other webmasters that suffered a drop and is down to Panda - thankfully its only hit a couple of small sites that are used as linking tools, the main money sites are fine.....for now

Traffic for me was up, perhaps as a result of the black out, maybe the mega lawsuit. But hopefully the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter, without free porn to download, we might just start making sales again.

I think we are a long way off starting to throw vod sites back up again, but as you say its a step in the right direction, we just need them to speed up so we still have a adult business thats worth promoting

One thing that amazes me is the hypocrisy of the general public. People are so against big brother telling them how to live their lives, but these same people have no problem telling the entertainment industry how to sell their products and for how much to it for. And when the industry shuns their demands, these people have no problem going out and stealing that content. If the government were to try to do that, you'd have soo many protests and pissants screaming about freedoms and rights.

Well, look at it this way, with the file sharing sites down, that will close down many sites, forums, and networks that were promoting links to them and free porn in general. The downside is probably that paysites will continue to get hit with random pilferers and pro rippers looking to keep the stream alive. But trust, with file sharing sites down, that will put a big crimp in the freeloaders. The downside to that is that some people are never going to pay for porn, so other means will resurface me thinks. The other thing is the kingpins at dotcom got their hands into the tubes as well, so the trickle effect or the melt down will hopefully be simultaneous....time will tell

agree, the "free" box has been opened and for many its the only way they consider online porn, but I suppose one door has been closed along with a few others ......just depends if others are waiting to be opened

you'll have to hope panda hasn't hit them - if the sites had pages that were too similar in content it could well be the case. On my main sites I'm spending double the amount of time ensuring pages are unique enough to keep G happy even making sure pages have different looks so not working to the same format
